Description

This report presents the results of an intensive level inventory and evaluation of approximately 35 historical resources in the “Old Fort Site,” an area located directly northeast of Old Town Fort Collins that contained the frontier military post established in the 1860s to guard the Overland Trail. The Old Fort Site is roughly bounded by North College Avenue on the west, Jefferson Street/Riverside Avenue on the southwest, and the Cache la Poudre River on the northeast.
