This title should continue in a rather Thackerayish manner, “in which a public library endeavors to revive a tradition for the community.” It is not our purpose to present a series of historical facts in connection with each trail mentioned, nor to give the history of the trails themselves, but rather to show how the romance and adventure surrounding them were used to stimulate an interest in the whole subject of Southwest history.
