This site contains the grave of Rachel Warren Pattison, an 18-year old bride of
two months from Illinois. She died of cholera, taking ill in the morning and dying by nightfall on June 19, 1849. Her husband Nathan Pattison survived the overland trip to Oregon and never remarried.

Location

Ash Hollow Cemetery, Lewellen, Nebraska

Ash Hollow Cemetery is on the west side of U.S. 26, ¼ mile south of the bridge over the North Platte River outside Lewellen.

The cemetery is open to the public.
