We believe that generosity has the power to unite and heal communities in good times and bad. A global threat like COVID-19 touches every person on the planet, and it presents an opportunity to come together as a global community.
#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that is taking place today on May 5, 2020 (in addition to the regularly scheduled Decemeber 1, 2020 #GivingTuesday) as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
Let’s come together to create a wave of generosity and support for nonprofits
. While you’re at it, why not also reach out to friends, family, neighbors, fellow OCTA members, or others who may feel isolated? An email, text, or phone call would surely be appreciated. We’re certain that we’ll see each other on down the trail.
While you’re remembering your favorite nonprofits today, consider a gift to OCTA
at this time as well. The budget committee is holding a Zoom meeting tomorrow to chart the way forward over the final five months of this fiscal year and will begin laying the groundwork for the next fiscal year as well.
OCTA will also continue putting out daily content via its social media channels, so follow us on Facebook and watch for our soon-to-launch Twitter feed and Instagram page, where you’ll be invited to share your own trail images. Best of all, watch for fresh video content on our YouTube Channel. We have a special surprise in store for you this coming Saturday.
No gift is too small, as the cumulative effect will tide us over. The shut downs are affecting several key revenue items this summer, so please consider stopping by OCTA’s secure online portal
and making a donation on #GivingTuesdayNow. Thank you so much for your support!
